Discrete Mathematics I
Course Prerequisite
Approved reading placement score, or equivalent, and MATH 115 with a grade of C or better or equivalent or department approval.
Course Description
Introduction to the mathematical foundations of discrete structures including the study of sets, relations and functions, counting and probability, recursion, graph theory, trees, logic and proof, Boolean algebra and logic gates, and finite state machines. Connections will be made between the mathematical theory and corresponding computer science applications.
