Math Sequencing

The chart below can be used to help navigate the sequencing of MATH courses at Illinois Central College.

Please note the starting point on the sequence is dependent upon placement level. More information about placement can be found on the Testing and Placement page.

Which path you should take is dependent upon your end goal and it is strongly encouraged that you talk with your Student Success Advisor about which MATH course best fits your needs.

Not all MATH courses meet General Education requirements, so please view the General Education Requirements for your degree. Requirements can be found on the Curriculum Catalog menu. For Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees programs may require a specific MATH course. Specific AAS degree layouts can be found by using the search feature on the Programs Page or on the Program and Area of Study List.
