Introduction to Music Literature

Approved reading placement score, or equivalent.
Course Description
This course is an introduction to the standard concert repertoire through intensive guided listening. Representative works by major composers are chosen to illustrate the principal styles, forms, and techniques of vocal and instrumental music. Although there is no music prerequisite for this course, there is an assumption of fundamental knowledge and understanding of the elements of music.
