Conservation Biology and Society

Course Description

This course introduces the student to the diversity of living organisms, the impact of human society on that diversity, and the effects of biodiversity on human society. Emphases will include the loss of genetic variation, the extinction of species, the alteration of ecosystems, and the efforts to counteract these losses at the local and global levels.
