Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to

properly handle the collection, preservation, and preparation of clinical specimens for chemical, microbiological, parasitological, fungal and serological procedures.

list and describe the major pathogenic fungi.

correlate laboratory test results with the pathophysiology of the patients.
