Film and Literature

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to

evaluate literary texts—such as novels, short stories, plays, poems, nonfiction, songs, and comics—and films, including screen adaptations of literary texts, in order to understand how filmmakers creatively employ the aesthetic, thematic, and technical elements of a film to represent a narrative visually.
