ALP: Preparation for College Reading and Writing

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to

develop strategies for analysis of a variety of texts across genres using key rhetorical concepts--such as audience, purpose, context, genre, and design.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to

apply multiple reading strategies to varied rhetorical contexts.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to

develop strategies for composition of a variety of texts across genres using key rhetorical concepts--such as audience, purpose, context, genre, and design.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to

develop flexible composing strategies--such as reading, drafting, reviewing, collaborating, revising, rewriting, rereading, and editing.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to

demonstrate personal responsibility for success in the course by attending class regularly, using academic success strategies like notetaking and project management, and completing course assignments.
