Program Information/Mission
The mission of the Accounting Assistant Bookkeeper Certificate program is to prepare students to obtain employment in accounting or an accounting related field. The Accounting Assistant Bookkeeper Certificate program provides education in accounting for basic bookkeeping, accounting software, payroll accounting, and the use of spreadsheets related to accounting data. The Accounting Assistant Bookkeeper Certificate prepares students for possible employment as an assistant bookkeeper, payroll clerk, or similar positions in other areas of accounting, such as manufacturers, service industries, accounting firms, financial institutions, insurance companies, and not-for-profit and governmental organizations.
